Mr. Boladai stressing that the economic benefits did not reach the Baloch communities. Due to its geostrategic location, Balochistan is intensively used as a platform for drug trafficking and an important channel for religious extremist to convey their funds
The minister also said that they were expecting massive confessions by Rigi which clearly indicates that the minister had already planned barbaric tortures and forced confessions and TV shows on the state-run TV and media.
Fifteen Baloch teachers have been arrested in the Balochistan cities Sarawan and Zahidan in Iran
Mr Ehsan Arjomandi a Baloch human rights activist and a citizen of Norway, was arrested on 7th August 2009 near Karachi in Pakistan. The bus carrying Mr Arjomandi was stopped by unknown people and he was removed from the bus and was transferred to a pick-up without plate number. This method of arrest in day light and in public places is characteristic of Pakistani Intelligence Service known as ISI.
On one day last week, 14 July, the government of Iran executed 13 members of its Baluch ethnic minority. They were hanged by the barbaric slow strangulation method, which is endorsed by the country's dictator, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
On the eve of the so-called Presidential election in the Islamic Republic of Iran on June 12, the country is plagued by ethnic, political and religious unrest as well as massive human rights abuses in Iranian Baluchistan, the homeland of the Sunni-dominated Baluch ethnic group in the southeastern corner bordering Pakistan and Afghanistan. This turmoil has taken the shape of armed clashes between the Baluch and security forces, massive arrests of Baluch protesters, and summary executions of detainees without trial. The slain bodies of three Baloch leaders namely Mr Ghulam Mohammad Baloch chairman of Baloch National Movement (BNM) and his party fellow Mr Lala Muneer Baloch and Sher Mohammad Baloch of Baloch Republican Party (BRP) were found on the outskirt of Turbat city soon after their abduction by Pakistani intelligence service, ISI, on 3rd of April 2009.
